"Finding the New Improved You"

image You might say, but I never lost the old me and I like who I am because I am "comfortable." Creating something new in you will add life to your living. We often get stuck in status quo and wonder why nothing ever changes for the better. It doesn't because WE don't. Hello... .?!

There is More to living than just having a life. How about sharing your time and experience with someone who could benefit by what you know. There is a vast difference between putting your nose in other people's business and putting your heart in other people's problems. Sharing your talents and resources are great ways to heal yourself from the inside out! You don't need a prescription and the refills are Free! Help yourself to "helping others" and you will be well nourished as you personally flourish... and have fun along the way!

image On New Year's Eve my husband and I went to our friends home. We were watching the movie "Mama Mia" while playing "Catch Phrase". When the women on screen started singing, all of us women got up and started singing and dancing with them. Our husbands just sat there smiling in unbelief and delight.

We NEED to cherish our moments with one another as each day is truly a Gift. In my book, "I Only Have A Minute ... So Let's Make It Matter!" there are a lot of ideas on how to live your life more abundantly even if you only have a moment to spend with what you are doing or who you are with. Laughter is a great way to experience "Healing Humor which reminds me of the following sign I read in the front yard of a Funeral Home: "Drive carefully! We'll wait..."

Many of us have trouble slowing down to the speed of life as we scramble in a fearful economy to keep things going. There are some important lessons we can learn. like "less is more" when it comes to "stuff." This is a great time to get rid of what you don't wear or use! Learning to be content with what you have is a good sign of self discipline. There is hope that we will be able to cope. We need to challenge ourselves to discover new ways to provide for the needs of our families by earning a living while still having a life. Meaning trumps money any day of the week because you can't buy love. Laughter is another story ... (call me)

Many of us find that food is fun. We eat for comfort when we are stressed. We eat to be social and the list goes on. I have a magnet on my refrigerator that reads: "Thou shalt not weigh more than thy refrigerator." Many of us seem to gain some weight as we age. I think I have finely figured out why. We get heavier as we get older because there is a lot more information in our heads. Yah think? That helps me stop blaming the home (not ours) made cookies that have human magnets in them until you eat them all. Tip: The chocolate dipped peanut butter balls may leave chocolate on your teeth that loved ones can detect. It is also not wise to put them in your pocket when the "dessert police" are around either. Important tip for other "sneak eaters" reading this. My present diet is the Cardiologist's Diet which is quite simple: If it tastes good ... spit it out! ... and have a very Happy and Healthy New Year!
